Passing of Dr Danny Quaranto

Dr. Danny Quaranto brought acupuncture to Vero Beach in 1989, when its healing power was still largely unknown to many. He was the 236th acupuncturist licensed in the entire state of Florida and was a trailblazer in our profession, helping forge a path for future generations of acupuncturists while mentoring many along the way. Dr Danny cared deeply about his patients and spent countless hours listening, teaching, and guiding those who entrusted him with their health. His family, friends, colleagues and patients are heartbroken by his sudden departure on June 30, 2026.
Dr. Danny served as President of the Florida State Oriental Medicine Association in its early years and helped shape many of the Board Rules that continue to govern our profession today. A lifelong student, he continued his education beyond Traditional Chinese Medicine and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from USAT in 2015. He was also deeply devoted to the martial arts and taught a free Tai Chi class at Jaycee Beach on Sunday afternoons for decades.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Danny was a devoted and supportive husband to Josefina for 50 years and her biggest fan. He was the most amazing father to Danielle and Adriana and never let distance get in the way of staying close. No matter where life took them, he made them a priority, visiting often and calling regularly. Danny lived by the belief that family comes first, and he instilled that same value in both of his daughters. As the family grew, he absolutely loved being “Grandy” to his two beautiful grandchildren, Stella and Beni.
Because of the unexpected nature of Danny’s passing, there is an immediate need to keep the office open to fulfill a significant number of medical records requests and manage the numerous responsibilities that accompany the closing of a healthcare practice. The family wishes to keep his loyal staff employed during this time to ensure everything is handled with the professionalism and integrity that meant so much to him.
In lieu of flowers, your contribution to a Go Fund Me  will help offset the costs associated with closing his practice and allow Dr. Danny’s family the time and space to grieve during this incredibly difficult transition. Danny touched the lives of so many throughout our community, and his family is deeply grateful for any support you are able to provide as we honor his remarkable legacy. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and love.
