Call for Speakers: American Society of Acupuncturists’ 2026 Annual Conference – SPRING

Supporting Practitioners through Research, Integration, Networking & Growth

We are excited to invite you to submit proposals for lecture presentations at the 2026 American Society of Acupuncturists’ Annual Conference!

The ASA Annual Conference is a premier gathering of acupuncture professionals dedicated to advancing the field through education, collaboration, and innovation. This year’s conference theme is “Supporting Practitioners through Research, Integration, Networking, & Growth.”  We are seeking dynamic and engaging presentations that explore how acupuncture and herbal medicine can shape a thriving future for the profession and the well-being of our communities. Presentations may be virtual for our pre-Conference Webinar series or live in person in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on April 25-26, 2026.

Presentation Topics:

We encourage submissions that explore the theme of “Supporting Practitioners through Research, Integration, Networking, & Growth” in the context of acupuncture and herbal medicine. Presentations should be 50-minute lecture style. Here are some ideas to get you started:

Supporting Practitioners:

  • Innovations in acupuncture and herbal medicine
  • Building a sustainable and successful practice

Research:

  • Cutting-edge research 
  • New applications 
  • Advancing evidence-based practice in acupuncture and herbal medicine

Integration:

  • Integrating acupuncture and herbal medicine into evolving healthcare models
  • Collaborations with other healthcare professionals
  • Expanding acupuncture’s reach through public health initiatives

Growth of Our Community:

  • Fostering inclusive diversity, equity, and access
  • Building a strong voice for acupuncture advocacy
  • Empowering the next generation of acupuncturists

Who Should Apply:

We welcome proposals from acupuncturists, researchers, educators, and other healthcare professionals who are passionate about shaping a bright future for our medicine.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Please submit a proposal of no more than 350 words that outlines your presentation topic, learning objectives, and how it connects to the conference theme “Supporting Practitioners through Research, Integration, Networking, & Growth.”
  • Include a CV, along with a brief biography (maximum 300 words), highlighting your relevant experience and accomplishments.
  • Proposals can be submitted electronically through our Submission Form by November 30, 2025.
  • Needling demonstrations may only be presented in recorded video format. 

Selection Criteria:

Proposals will be reviewed by a selection committee based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance to the conference theme and target audience
  • Originality and depth of content
  • Clarity and conciseness of presentation
  • Presenter’s qualifications and experience
  • Connection to the future of acupuncture
